$2,000 Project Files Competition

I’m excited to announce VideoHive’s first official contest, and boy is it a big one! Three lucky authors will get their share of $2,000 in cash prizes – and all you need to do to enter is upload your awesome project files. Authors will have 30 days to upload their project files and the winners will then be chosen based on total sales volume within the next 30 day period. So fire up After Effects or Motion, and get to work!

Overview

Part 1 runs between April 15^th and June 7^th. During this time you may submit as many project files as you wish. Files accepted on or after April 15h, and on or before June 7^th will be eligible.

Part 2 of the contest will begin on June 8^th and run until July 8^th. This is the sales half of the contest. Basically the total sales of each project file will be combined by author, and the winners are the three authors with the most sales value. Remember it’s not the total times your item sells, it’s the value generated by the sales that determines position.

How To Enter

All project files approved within the specified date range (April 15 2009 – June 7 2009) will automatically get entered into the competition.

Prizes and Awards

• 1^st prize: $1,000
• 2^nd prize: $700
• 3^rd prize: $300

• The top three authors will have their best selling item featured in a post on the VideoHive blog.
• The top three authors will also have ALL of their project files submitted within the contest added to a collection and featured on the top of the blog for a minimum of 30 days after the completion of the competition.

Eligibility

Any and all Envato authors are eligible to enter. You have until 11:59 P.M (Eastern Standard Time) on June 7^th to enter. Submissions after this time will not be accepted into the competition.

*Envato staff members are not eligible to enter.

May I Enter More Than Once?

Absolutely, we’re hoping you do! Prizes will be awarded based on total sales for all projects within the specified date range. So if you submit 10 accepted files, the sales for all 10 files within the timeframe will be combined.

When Will The Winnders Be Announced?

Sometime within 7 days of the contest completion, the winners will be contacted via email and the congratulatory blog post and featured collection will be posted.

Terms and Conditions:

• Entry is open to any Envato marketplace author who is NOT a paid staff member.
• Any approved file uploaded between 12:01 AM April 15, 2009 and 11:59 PM June 7, 2009 (Eastern Standard Time) is eligible, and will automatically be entered.
• Payment to the three winners will be made via Paypal only and will be in US dollars.
• Standard file reviewing process is still in place, and files can still be rejected if they do not meet VideoHive’s standards or criteria.
• All decisions are final.
